Not impressed! 11/13/08

Ordered the fajitas and had no seasoning. Wife ordered enchladas which was OK at best.

Observed staff unorgonized, orders given to wrong tables.

2 out of 5 stars....

first the food its not good like a lot of people said maybe the workers are the one putting the other reviews because if u go to La Playa you are going to find out that is the same food as el campanario just the campanario its the cheap version. to open a restaurant first you need to be original not get menus for other restaurants...

I'm so glad I finally tried this restaurant!!

I went with a group of my friends and we all tried different plates and not one of us was disappointed! We were all more than satisfied with the quality of the food, the time it took to get our food, and the friendliness and attentiveness of the entire staff!

Mr. Rodriguez even took the time to ask us himself how we liked the food and if there was anything he could do for us!!

I MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!

THIS PLACE OPENED WITH A SMALL BANG BUT HAS ALREADY GONE BIG BOOM. MY TOMATILLA SAUCE WAS SPOILED BUT THE MANAGER, XAVIOER LOPEZ, WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY. BACK TO LA PLAYA!

We tried this new place today. Kind of dissapointing, given the hype of authenticity. It is just another typical Mexican Cafe. The old waitress got our order wrong 3 times. If she couldn't speak English, or understand our Spanish, why in the world didn't she ask for help? Gave us the idea our business was not wanted.

THIS NEW RESTAURANT IS NO MORE THAN A LOUD CAFE. THE TORTILLA CHIPS AT TACO BELL ARE MORE AUTHENTIC THAN THE ONES HERE. THEY CAME STRAIGHT FROM A PLASTIC BAG. THE TORTILLAS DE HARINA ARE RAW INSIDE, BURNT OUTSIDE. JUST LIKE THE MEAT. ONE PAPER NAPKIN, NO DISPENSER, NO SPOON, WAITRESS NEVER GOT THE ORDER RIGHT, KITCHEN SLOW. THE BEST THING WAS THE YOUNG CUTE WAITER. IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR HIM, WE WOULD HAVE HAD NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT LAST NIGHTS SUPPER!

We had the botana with fajitas and guacamole and nachos and frijoles and it was big. The meat was so tender and good, and it was not so expensive as some of this other places. We going back real soon.

Tonight we ate supper at this new place. We tried the chile relleno stuffed with chicken and covered with an especial poblano sauce. WOW! Mi esposa Maria ate enchiladas de pollo en mole, she let me have only one bite because it was so good she wanted it all to herself!

MY FRIENDS AND I TRIED THIS NEW PLACE FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY. THE ATMOSPHERE AND DECOR WERE THE PERFECT BLEND OF ELEGANCE AND DOWN-HOME COMFORT. THE STAFF WAS VERY COURTEOUS. THE CHEESE ENCHILADAS WITH MEAT SAUCE WERE FANTASTIC, AS WAS THE SENIOR CITIZEN PLATE WITH THE SWISS ENCHILADA AND GRILLED PORK CHOP. (WE ALL JUST HAD TO SAMPLE EACH OTHERS ORDERS). THE "STREET TACOS" PLATE WAS WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS, AND THE PRESENTATION OF THE DISH WAS LOVELY. FINALLY, A GOOD NEW PLACE TO EAT THAT HAS GREAT PRICES. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO COME AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!
