San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts

SAMFA has focused on contemporary ceramics as the foundation for its reputation as an innovator in the art world. Beginning in 1986, the museum has hosted the National Ceramics Competition, which was heralded as “the premier clay show in America.” Each April in even-numbered years the Museum hosts the National Competition and every other year a Ceramics Invitational. Artists from around the world converge on San Angelo for a week-long celebration of creativity and clay.
